What stood out

Two results changed scope, not framing

Place-based community design and multi-use room design were both flagged as already covered elsewhere, or outside VIDA Health's own expertise โ€” before either question needed better wording.

The same boundary question, four times over

Off-site CSSD, satellite hospital care and IT infrastructure standardisation all carry the same note: is this a Department of Health policy decision, not VIDA Health's to research?

Evidence-checking is the shared blocker

More than half of the research-ready questions list the same outstanding gap โ€” check what evidence already exists before a research brief gets written for each one individually.

Two flags need their own track

Culturally safe First Peoples design needs an ethics review built in. Material selection may run up against government procurement policy. Both deserve a direct conversation with those stakeholders.

Considerations

What we'd suggest doing with this, now that it exists.

01

Bring in the subject-matter experts

Have the relevant SMEs review the research-ready and promising questions above โ€” the six-gate work already done is a head start, not a reason to start over.

02

Send the other 21 through the engine

The questions marked "not yet explored" below are still live workshop material. Recommend a follow-up session to give them the same six-gate treatment.

03

Keep it evolving

This is a snapshot of where thinking landed on 2 September, not a finished position. Its value is in coming back to it โ€” updating verdicts, adding SME input, re-running a question โ€” so momentum keeps moving rather than settling once and going stale.
